Blessed by “The Blessed”
“Blessings all mine with ten thousand beside.” That I should merit such treasures doth my comprehension surpass. How is it that He has given such to me? That I, blessed by the Blessed should be made to drink in His glories and wonders? Day shall not pass when praises fail to leave my tongue in awe of Him. Ever am I kept in His comfort, in His steadfast and abounding love. Were it not enough that He, my Savior, should die for me? Were it not enough that He might loose the chains of death and that I, one such as I, might one day drink of the fount of life? Yet, more and ever still more doth He give to me. Oh, Father God, it is too much. My mind cannot comprehend it. Why have You blessed me so?
In Your courts oh Lord I sing
Praises to You, oh God, my King.
Blessings You grant me
Strength You bestow me
In Your great mercies, I hope and reside.
Oh Father God, to dwell with Thee
Doth hope restore, again to me.
To praise Thee ever
To with Thee abide.
Canst ne’er contain my joy divine.
Were I to speak of heaven’s glory
Or were I to His love convey
Could I but cease to praises give?
For Him in whom my hope doth lie?
And still I turn to Thee oh Father
Blessed by the Blessed, forever Yours.
I love Thee now, as do I ever.
And praises give
To You, my Guide.
